Finally! Lily Rae :)

Ok, so my computer at home is having technical difficulties.  It won't let me post, but I am doing it from my moms computer because I can't stand to not blog! :)
Our first family picture!
Lily's first picture of MANY!
So, here is the story of  Lily Rae Day's arrival to the world :)  I had my check up at the doctor with 4 weeks left until my due date.  The doctor was so confused because my uterus was measuring far too big... this happened before but the baby was far too little...things just weren't adding up.  This was on a Tuesday, and on Thursday he had me come in for yet another ultrasound.  I have had like 8
ultrasounds this pregnancy! Crazy.  So...I go in and the ultra sound lady was just SO mean to me!  I told her that my uterus was too big, and she told me I heard the doctor wrong because the baby was measuring really small and that just doesn't add up.  She even went as far as telling me that 'New moms just hear what they want to hear'.  Oh boy, she told me I was fine and to go home.  I walked out of the hospital just'a bawling because I knew something wasn't right, and I knew I didn't hear my doctor wrong! Well...I went back to work after I got all of my cries out, and when I was walking into work I swung the door over my foot and it hurt soo bad! Everybody was right inside the door so they witnessed my outburst of crying...haha, I was a wreck!  Must have been those pregnancy hormones.  Well, while I was at work they called me and told me that the ultrasound lady forgot to do some of the ultrasound so I had to go back in and get it finished.  Of course...I started crying again because I was so mad at this lady.  I went in and she did a test on Lily through the ultrasound to see how healthy she was.  They checked everything soooo closely, I was so confused what was going on.  She told me that everything was  good news, she is a very healthy baby, just small.  She told me to be on my way once again.  I was  just getting ready to cry again when the nurse stopped me before I could leave and said the doctor had to see me.  I went into the doctor and he said, so, the lady (as you can see I don't remember her name) told you that you have a cyst...and I stopped him and was like, what?? And he was like, oh she was supposed to tell you!  So...I had a cyst and that was pushing on my uterus making it appear bigger than it was.  He said the baby was unusually small, but still very healthy but when I turned 37 weeks they wanted to induce me to make sure that the nutrients werent going to this cyst but to the baby.  Things didnt register, and I was just thinking, a cyst? Weird.  Then he said...Jessica, we are going to induce you on Tuesday.  I was like, WHAT? Thats 4 days away!! I then proceeded to tell the doctor that I hadn't even had a baby shower yet, and I needed baby clothes.  Haha..soo...thats the story of WHY I was induced 3 weeks early for a small baby, it doesnt happen often I hear.  The doctor ended up calling me and asking if I could come in on Monday night to be induced, so after Tyler and I enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Cafe Sabor we went in to have a baby!!  We checked in at 8:30...by 10:00 I was hooked up to a lot of things and the patosin was flowing into me.  We played some good games of Phase 10 and chatted until they broke my water around 12 midnight.  After they broke my water, the pain began!  I thought I was going to die.  I was throwing up and shaking and askin for that epidural! My mom and Tylers mom were also there all night, so that was very nice! That night was LONG.  By the morning I still had only dilated to a 3.  I had to keep pushing the  epidural button, and they kept upping the patosin.  At one point in the middle of the night two nurses came rushing in and rolled me over to my left side and put oxygen on my face.  I was like, whats going on? They said the baby was in stress because the contractions were right on top of each other and it was too much.  She settled down and we waited and waited....at 3 PM on Tuesday I was still at a 3.  By 4 PM, a 3...and then at 5 PM I went to a 4! Woooot!  The doctor came in at 5:15 PM and told me they were doing a C-section because my water had been broken for too long and she just wasnt coming out that way.  A bunch of doctors came in and prepped me and wheeled me on down there.  I was shaking sooooo bad, I was so cold!  They put me onto the operation table and cut me open.  About halfway through I could feel it, and it HURT.  I started yelling and the guy gave me more pain killer stuff in my IV...I missed the whole 'Lily coming out and getting cleaned off' part because I was screaming in pain.  Tyler got some good pictures though :)  They sewed me on up and they brought Lily Rae Day to me...she was born at 5:43 PM on September 7th.  She weighed 4 lbs and 11 oz...18 inches long.  She had a giant cone head, and was just the most precious thing I have ever seen. It was unreal.  It was truly a miracle :)  That is the story of her birth! Yay!

C-sections are the worst, I'm glad everything turned out alright for you guys! I was so scared I was going to feel them cut me open, I can't believe that happened to you! You are one strong woman!
